Our lawn program consists of 6-7 lawn applications a year. When we do an estimate, we will recommend the appropriate program, which will include pricing for beneficial services like aeration and grub preventative. We may also recommend some additional weed applications for the first year only, depending on the shape your lawn is in and the time of year that you start the service.
How often are your lawn visits?
Once we get started for the season we visit the lawn every 4-6 weeks. During periods of extended dry periods we may extend the the time between visits.
Do I need to sign a contract?
For residential clients we do business he old fashioned way. A simple email, text or verbal agreeing to service is all we need to get started. Our service is continuous from year to year, just like a subscription, but if you move or need to cancel for some other reason, you’re free to cancel at any time. Just let us know by giving us a call, text or email.
Can you help with weed control?
Absolutely! We have extensive experience in weed control and offer effective solutions to rid your unwanted broadleaf and grassy weeds in the lawn. We ensure the health of your turf while eliminating the weeds.
Are lawn treatment applications safe for my children and pets?
All our applications equal or exceed EPA safety standards. We recommend that children and pets stay off the lawn for 2 hours after the application. Does anything need to be done to prepare for the lawn for service?
On service days, just be sure gates are unlocked and pets are kept inside.
Does the lawn need watered before or after the application?
Our slow‑release fertilizer works just fine on its own, but a little water never hurts! Rain or watering helps the nutrients settle in and do their thing.
Can I mow the lawn after a lawn application?
You’re good to mow the same day we treat the lawn, as long as you’re mulching the clippings. The fertilizer gets into the soil pretty fast, so mowing usually doesn’t affect it. If the fertilization treatment was a liquid application, it’s better to wait until the next day before mowing so it has time to fully dry and absorb into the leaf tissue.
How does rain or snow impact the applications?
This is a great question! Our fertilizer applications aren’t water‑soluble, so they won’t wash away in the rain. In fact, rain is actually helpful — the moisture helps gradually release the nutrients into the soil so the grass and root system can absorb them. So yes, rain after an application is totally fine and even good for your lawn!
For weed control, they just need a couple of hours to dry and absorb into the weeds. After that, rain won’t affect their effectiveness.
How long will it take to get control of weeds after service begins?
Easy to control weeds start to show signs of dying within about 1–2 weeks after your service begins. You’ll usually notice them wilting, curling, or fading in color first.
Full control can take a little longer — typically 3–6 weeks, depending on the type of weeds, weather conditions, and how mature the weeds are. Some tougher varieties like ground ivy and wild violets will take a couple of treatments.
